I decided to go to NitPixies in Oakland because I was stressing out about my kids getting lice. It gave me so much anxiety and after doing the treatment from your local drugstore, and checking their hair everyday, I was second guessing if it got rid of everything. It felt overwhelming to check every night and pick out every little tiny egg. I was exhausted after work and thinking about it literally kept me up all night. That’s when I went on google and found NitPixies. I called and booked my kids and I an appointment for the next day. Knigi (hope I spelled her name right) was very helpful. I love her demeanor. She was very calm and patient and her energy rubbed off on me. She checked me and my 3 kids’ hair and then administered the treatment to 2 of my kids who still had some bugs in their hair in just under 2 hours. She was very patient with my 1 year old who had trouble sitting still. I walked out of NitPixies feeling confident that there would be no more bugs. Sometimes you just need some help and getting that help is like a breath of fresh air. I felt like I could relax a little! Knigi answered all of my questions and gave tips on what to do at home. She was very informative on how to tell when the egg is dead and how long you’ve had lice from the size of the bugs and other basic information. she let me see the bugs through the magnifying glass. They have a great setup over there. It gives you some relief because when you’re at home combing through your hair or your kids’ hair you freak out about it on your carpet and hope it doesn’t. But at NitPixies they have a big tray that they put the bugs/eggs in. I am so happy I went here!

They came to our house the time they said they were going to come.
Took their time with her and were very patient and I was surprised she let them do it. The shampoo they provide and conditioner work well although you do pay for it it’s worth it.
If I could give it 10 stars I would I recommend it to any one !

Took my 6 year old granddaughter here for a mild case of head lice and it was a great experience, I am SO grateful they’re here and do what they do because I would never have had the peace of mind that my granddaughter was in the clear, if I had to deal with it on my own. Highly recommend you take your child here if they’re exposed to lice.

Absolutely outstanding experience. Bo was very helpful and explained everything I needed to know. The inside of the clinic is absolutely spotless, sanitary and extremely welcoming. My exam was thorough and quick and fortunately nothing was found.

I've been going to Nit Pixies for years, because I taught kindergarten and was always close to the kids. They don't use toxic products, make you feel absolutely normal about having lice, and the place is like a hair salon. They give expert advice about cleaning at home, that keeps you from getting a panic attack and over-doing it. Love this place and worth every penny. Their methods are tried and true!
